Tesla Energy Revenue Falls 16% Despite Rising Battery Storage Deployments
Tesla's energy generation and storage revenue dropped 16% year-over-year to $2.88 billion in the third quarter, even as total storage installations grew 10% to 13.7 GWh. The company attributed part of the decline to tariff-related customer refunds in its shareholder report. Tesla did not disclose the total value of the refunds or specify which commercial or residential accounts received them.
