Koenigsegg Doubles Down on Hybrid Hypercars, No Plans for Full EVs
Christian von Koenigsegg, founder of the eponymous Swedish hypercar manufacturer, remains committed to hybrid powertrains citing the irreplaceable nature of the internal combustion engine for their performance goals. He asserts that battery-electric vehicles currently cannot deliver the extreme, lightweight experience Koenigsegg owners expect. While acknowledging the potential of synthetic fuels, the company has no immediate plans for pure EVs.
