New JetBlast System Enhances EV Battery Casing Thermal Runaway Testing
AZL Aachen has launched its JetBlast system, a specialized testing rig designed to simulate extreme conditions like flame exposure and hot particle blasts that occur during EV battery thermal runaway events. This technology aims to accurately assess the resilience of battery casing materials under such severe stress. The system's initial calibration confirms its operational readiness for a joint partner project focused on advanced thermal runaway testing.
