Aston Martin has taken the wraps off the convertible version of its mid-engine Valhalla supercar. The Spider variant retains the coupe's plug-in hybrid V8 powertrain, pairing twin turbochargers with multiple electric motors to achieve a top speed of 217 mph. The roofless hypercar is slated for limited production alongside its fixed-roof sibling.
Bugatti CEO Mate Rimac revealed the brand is exploring a lighter variant of the Tourbillon that would abandon its plug-in hybrid setup entirely. The potential bespoke model would mate the automaker's massive naturally aspirated V16 engine to a manual transmission.
