Florida Attempts to Divert $200M in Federal EV Charging Funds to Air Taxis
Florida is seeking to reallocate $200 million in federal funding, originally designated for building out its electric vehicle charging infrastructure, towards the development of electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft, also known as air taxis. This controversial move, if approved, would redirect critical resources from the state's EV charging network to an unproven and currently unapproved transportation technology.
