GM to Share Advanced EV Software and Tech Across Gas-Powered Lineup
General Motors is shifting to a propulsion-agnostic software architecture, ensuring next-generation digital features developed for its electric vehicles also deploy to gasoline models. The strategy will bring Tesla-style connected functions, including onboard security camera monitoring and hands-free automated driving, to upcoming gas SUVs alongside its EV portfolio. By standardizing its computing stack across all powertrains, the automaker aims to streamline over-the-air updates and reduce development costs.
