Honda to Test In-Road Wireless Charging for Moving EVs

Honda has partnered with two engineering firms to test dynamic wireless charging technology embedded directly beneath the road surface. The system aims to recharge electric vehicle batteries while in motion, eliminating the need to plug in during transit. If viable at scale, roadway charging could alleviate range anxiety and allow automakers to equip future EVs with smaller, lighter battery packs.
