Honda Tests Dynamic Wireless EV Charging on Japanese Highways

Honda has partnered with a construction firm to test an induction-powered roadway designed to recharge electric vehicles while they are in motion. The pilot project targets both passenger cars and commercial trucks to demonstrate continuous dynamic power transfer in Japan. If successful, in-motion charging could help automakers downsize heavy onboard batteries and minimize downtime at stationary chargers.
