Honda Develops In-Road Wireless Charging Tech to Power EVs on the Move

Honda has partnered with Japanese construction firm Taisei to advance dynamic wireless power transfer technology capable of charging electric vehicles while driving. The system can deliver up to 150 kW from embedded roadway transmitters directly to moving vehicles, primarily targeting heavy commercial trucks to eliminate charging stops. Real-world validation testing will begin later this year on a dedicated test track in Japan.
