Tesla Powerwalls and Sunrun Achieve Record California Grid Dispatch with Home Battery Fleet
California's home battery systems, predominantly Tesla Powerwalls managed by Sunrun, recently set a new record by dispatching 745 MW of electricity to the grid. Over 85,000 Powerwall owners contributed more than 600 MW, significantly surpassing previous benchmarks for energy delivered from residential batteries. This achievement highlights the growing role of distributed energy resources in stabilizing the state's power supply.
