GM to Shutter Brownstown Battery Assembly Plant in Michigan
General Motors is closing its Brownstown battery assembly facility located near Detroit, Michigan. The plant has been producing battery packs for the ultra-luxury Cadillac Celestiq flagship EV as well as electric drive units for the Corvette E-Ray. The move reflects ongoing adjustments to GM's electric vehicle manufacturing and component footprint.
