Ultium Cells to Produce LMR Prismatic Battery Cells for Future GM EVs in Tennessee

Ultium Cells, the joint venture between General Motors and LG Energy Solution, has announced plans to localize the production of LMR prismatic battery cells in Tennessee. This strategic move aims to strengthen the domestic battery supply chain and power upcoming GM electric vehicles with advanced cell technology. The new manufacturing capabilities will be integrated into the existing Ultium Cells facility in Spring Hill, Tennessee.
