Polestar Partners with Oxford to Measure the Physical Thrill of EV Performance

Polestar teamed up with the University of Oxford to quantify how electric vehicle dynamics translate into human emotion. Researchers equipped drivers with eye trackers and biometric monitors while testing single- and dual-motor variants of the Polestar 4 on a Swedish circuit. The study found the higher-output dual-motor model generated significantly higher peak acceleration and emotional engagement while demanding less steering effort.
