NHTSA Grants Tesla Extension for Cybercab Safety Standard Response

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has given Tesla additional time to detail how its steering-wheel-less Cybercab robotaxi concept will comply with federal safety regulations. Tesla, which had sought a longer deferral, must now provide its explanation by October 30 regarding the innovative vehicle's design and operational safety.
