Proposed New Jersey Bill Could Ban Tesla-Style Camera-Only Autonomous Vehicles

A new bill advancing in the New Jersey legislature would mandate that autonomous vehicles operating in the state utilize both radar and lidar technology, in addition to cameras. This requirement presents a direct challenge to Tesla's camera-centric approach for its Full Self-Driving system and could effectively prohibit such vehicles from operating there.
