Magnachip Licenses Navitas Silicon Carbide Tech for High-Voltage EV Power
Magnachip Semiconductor is expanding into the high-voltage silicon carbide (SiC) market by licensing Navitas Semiconductor's GeneSiC technology. This partnership enables Magnachip to develop and produce SiC products for power conversion applications in electric vehicles, among other sectors. The licensed Gen 4 and Gen 5 GeneSiC Trench-Assisted Planar (TAP) technologies target voltage requirements from 1200 V and above, crucial for efficient EV power systems.
