BMW Rolls Out Next-Gen X5 with All-Electric and Plug-in Hybrid Options, Production Incoming for South Carolina Plant

BMW has unveiled the fifth generation of its X5 SUV, featuring a complete design overhaul and the introduction of a pure-electric variant for the first time. Production of the redesigned X5 will commence at BMW's Spartanburg, South Carolina plant this August, with EV and PHEV models slated for early next year. This marks the X5 as the first BMW model to offer such a broad range of powertrains within the 'Neue Klasse' era.
