BMW Recalls 29,000 PHEVs in U.S. Over Fire Risk, Urges Owners to Park Outdoors

BMW is recalling approximately 29,000 plug-in hybrid vehicles across its 3-Series, 5-Series, and 7-Series models in the United States and Canada. The defect, stemming from the engine starter relay rather than the high-voltage battery, poses a fire risk and has prompted BMW to advise owners to park these vehicles outside until repairs are completed.
