Washington Metro Orders 100 Hybrid and Electric Buses from New Flyer

The Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority has exercised an option to purchase 100 additional low- and zero-emission buses from New Flyer of America. The order represents the second year of a five-year contract to replace aging fleet vehicles across the nation's capital with hybrid-electric and battery-electric models.
