Volvo Plans Significant Production Boost at South Carolina Plant with Next-Gen XC60, Including Full EVs

Volvo is preparing for a major expansion of its Ridgeville, South Carolina manufacturing facility, anticipating a two-thirds increase in output by 2027. This growth will be driven by the introduction of the next-generation XC60, which will include fully electric variants alongside internal combustion models. The plant currently produces the S60 sedan and EX90 electric SUV.
