Tesla Plans to Use Optimus Robots to Plug In Robotaxis at Superchargers

Tesla leadership indicated that the company plans to deploy its Optimus humanoid robots to physically connect robotaxis to Supercharger stalls as a stopgap measure. The automated handling approach aims to keep fleet turnaround completely unmanned until dedicated wireless inductive charging hardware is ready for prime time. This interim strategy would allow driverless vehicles to recharge without requiring human attendants at existing charging stations.
