Tesla Megapacks Power Australia's First 8-Hour Grid Storage Project

A new energy storage facility in New South Wales, Australia, has commenced operations, utilizing 144 Tesla Megapacks to provide an unprecedented eight hours of continuous discharge capacity. This RWE-developed project, known as Limondale, marks a significant milestone as the country's first long-duration grid battery, quadrupling the typical two-hour storage duration found in most Australian installations.
