Rivian Recalls Over 100,000 EVs for Rearview Camera Software Glitch

Rivian is issuing a voluntary safety recall affecting approximately 100,700 of its R1T pickups and R1S SUVs due to a software defect impacting the rearview camera display. While the camera hardware itself is functional, the display may intermittently fail to activate when shifting into reverse, potentially increasing the risk of an accident. Owners will receive an over-the-air (OTA) software update to resolve the issue, with no physical service visit required.
