Polestar 2 Production Concludes After Six-Year Run Ahead of Redesigned Successor
Polestar has completed production of its inaugural high-volume electric fastback, the Polestar 2, after building roughly 200,000 units over a six-year lifecycle. The automaker has halted new factory orders in Scandinavian markets as manufacturing winds down at its Luqiao facility in China, though existing inventory will bridge the gap in major regions. A redesigned, slightly longer second-generation model is scheduled to arrive around 2027 to spearhead the brand's next growth phase.
