Polestar 2 Production Concludes as Brand Prepares Next-Gen Fastback for 2027

Polestar has officially ended production of the Polestar 2 electric sedan at its assembly facility in China following a six-year manufacturing run. The fastback served as the foundational volume model establishing the automaker's standalone EV brand worldwide. A completely redesigned electric fastback is scheduled to succeed the nameplate globally in early 2027 as the company leans into its newer SUV offerings.
