New York City to Install 600 New Curbside EV Charging Points

USNYC DOT

New York City is significantly expanding its electric vehicle infrastructure with plans to add 600 new curbside charging points across all five boroughs. This initiative will boost the city's public Level 2 charging network from 88 ports to nearly 700, making EV ownership more accessible for residents, especially those without private garages or driveways. The expansion aims to support the growing number of electric vehicles on city streets and reduce range anxiety for urban dwellers.
