Nissan is preparing to launch a pilot program later this year featuring self-driving Leaf robotaxis in Tokyo, pending local regulatory approval. This initiative is part of a broader global strategy by Nissan, in collaboration with Uber, Nvidia, and Wayve, to deploy Level 4 autonomous vehicles for ride-hailing services. The robotaxis will integrate redundant systems and advanced sensor arrays, leveraging Wayve's AI Driver platform.
