Nevada Restricts Tesla's Vegas Robotaxi Fleet to Just 10 Vehicles, Far Below Company's Request
The Nevada Transportation Authority has granted Tesla a permit to operate a driverless 'robotaxi' service in Las Vegas, but with significantly tighter restrictions than the company sought. Instead of the requested 5,000 vehicles, the permit limits the fleet to just 10 cars. Additionally, operations are confined to a specific stretch of the Strip, pickups at Harry Reid International Airport are prohibited, and vehicle speeds are capped at 45 mph.
