Mercedes-Benz Stages T-Bone Crash Test to Prove CLA EV Battery and Passenger Safety
EUMercedes-Benz
Mercedes-Benz conducted a high-impact internal crash test by ramming a hybrid CLA prototype into an all-electric CLA sedan at 35 mph. The exercise was designed to evaluate passenger protection and inspect the high-voltage battery's structural resilience during a severe side impact. Engineers reported that the passenger cell remained intact and the electric vehicle's automatic high-voltage shutoff triggered as intended.
