Mercedes-AMG Previews 1,169-HP GT 63 Electric Super Sedan
Mercedes-AMG is readying its first dedicated battery-electric model, the GT 4-Door EV, built on the bespoke AMG.EA architecture to challenge the Porsche Taycan. Powered by three Yasa-developed axial-flux electric motors, the flagship GT 63 4Matic+ produces up to 1,169 horsepower alongside simulated shifts and engine acoustics to mimic a traditional combustion V8. The 800-volt hyper-sedan will spearhead a trio of high-performance EVs from the Affalterbach brand, with performance SUV variants scheduled to follow.
