Mazda Prioritizes CX-60 PHEV and Upcoming CX-6e EV Over CX-5 Plug-in Hybrid

Mazda has confirmed it will not develop a plug-in hybrid variant for its popular CX-5 SUV, instead steering electrified vehicle buyers towards its existing CX-60 PHEV. The Japanese automaker is focusing its electrification efforts on dedicated models, including a new, fully electric CX-6e slated for future release.
