LG Energy Solution's New Michigan Plant Begins LFP Battery Production for EVs and Grid Storage

LG Energy Solution has commenced manufacturing at its new 226-acre battery production facility in Lansing, Michigan. The plant will produce large-format lithium iron phosphate (LFP) cells, primarily targeting both electric vehicles and stationary energy storage systems, with an anticipated annual capacity of 35 GWh at full scale.
