Infineon has unveiled a new power management integrated circuit (PMIC), the OPTIREG TLE9744QK, specifically engineered for high-voltage traction inverters in electric and hybrid vehicles. This innovative chip consolidates essential components, including supply rails, resolver excitation circuitry, and a dedicated safety engine, into a single device. The integration aims to simplify inverter electronic control unit (ECU) designs, enhance functional safety, and reduce complexity in next-generation EV powertrains.
