India Requires 10 GWh of Battery Storage to Prevent Renewable Energy Waste

India is currently curtailing significant amounts of clean energy due to the inflexibility of its coal-fired power plants. To effectively integrate its growing solar capacity and avoid this waste, the nation urgently needs 10 GWh of battery storage. This capacity would allow for efficient storage of renewable energy that the grid cannot immediately absorb.
