Ford Simplifies Home Backup Power with Built-In Inverter on Upcoming $30,000 Fathom EV
USFord
Ford is equipping its upcoming $30,000 Fathom electric pickup with integrated bidirectional charging technology designed to streamline home backup power. Rather than requiring owners to install expensive, standalone wall-mounted inverters, the vehicle can directly supply up to 10 kW of electricity to a home. The approach significantly lowers the barrier to entry for vehicle-to-home energy resilience.
