Ford CEO Jim Farley stated that the automaker's internally developed electric drive units outperform Chinese rival BYD by 30% in powertrain efficiency. Developed by a dedicated skunkworks team, the upcoming integrated motors, inverters, and gearboxes are engineered to reduce production costs and maximize range.
