Renewable Sources Now Provide 30% of U.S. Electricity, EIA Reports

Clean energy sources accounted for nearly one-third of the total electricity generated in the United States during the first four months of 2024. This marks a significant increase of 2.2% compared to the same period last year, according to new data from the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA). This growing contribution from renewables provides a cleaner power grid for charging the nation's rising fleet of electric vehicles.
