China Deploys 2.2 MW Ultra-Fast EV Chargers as US Prepares for 750 kW Rollout

While the US anticipates the introduction of 750 kW EV chargers next year, China has already activated significantly more powerful 2.2 megawatt charging stations in five cities. These advanced chargers, pioneered by Geely, promise to fully recharge compatible EVs in under five minutes. China plans to expand this network rapidly, aiming for 15,000 such sites by the end of next year, highlighting a growing disparity in high-speed charging infrastructure deployment between the two nations.
