CATL Advances Solid-State Battery Development with 20 Ah Cells and 500 Wh/kg Target

Global battery giant CATL has reached a new development milestone by producing 20 Ah all-solid-state battery cells. The company is targeting an energy density of up to 500 Wh/kg as it works toward initial small-scale production in 2027. If commercialized successfully, the technology could nearly double the energy density of current mainstream EV battery packs.
