Upcoming BYD Electric Minivan Spotted Testing Ahead of Official Debut

BYD appears to be preparing a new electric multi-purpose vehicle for release, with camouflaged prototypes recently spotted during transit and public charging trials in China. The upcoming MPV was seen hooked up to one of BYD's fast-charging hubs, suggesting high-voltage charging architecture will be a key selling point. The vehicle is expected to formally debut later this year as BYD expands its lineup of family and executive haulers.
