British Firm Unveils Lighter, Higher-Capacity Battery for McLaren P1 PHEV

A UK-based engineering firm has developed a significantly lighter and more powerful replacement battery pack for the McLaren P1 plug-in hybrid hypercar. This new solution not only shaves 23kg off the vehicle's weight but also nearly triples its electric-only range and enhances track performance by allowing for more consistent electric motor deployment, breathing new life into these aging, pioneering PHEVs.
