British Columbia to Invest $700 Million in EV Charging Infrastructure Expansion
British Columbia is set to significantly boost its electric vehicle charging infrastructure with a provincial investment of $700 million. This funding will allow BC Hydro to nearly quadruple its current network from 917 charging ports to 3,500 by 2035, aiming to support the growing adoption of EVs across the province. An additional $18 million will also be allocated to the CleanBC Go Electric Public Charger Program to further expand public access to charging.
